DAIRY
What kind of dairy do you sell?
Our dairy assortment includes cow's milk, goat's milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, sour cream, kefir.
Where your dairy comes from?
Our dairy comes from a few different Amish farms. We mostly purchase milk from farmers located in Wisconsin and Michigan. Our cheese comes from two different farmers that use old artisan methods and family recipes.
Why is Amish cheese better?
The cows are not fed artificial hormones or additives and the herds average 40 head instead of 400 or more in the large factory farms. This is the only milk used in our Amish dairy products. From early spring to late fall, the cows are out on pasture, enjoying the luscious grass and sunshine.
Certified non-GMO, Kosher and Halal vegetable rennet is used in Amish cheeses, rather than animal rennet. The result of all this is an exceptional, handmade local cheese, bursting with wholesome flavor, and free of artificial flavor enhancers.
