News From The Boss

I want to share the great news that spring is just around the corner!

I visited one of our supplying farms in Michigan this week, and even though there is snow laying on the fields, Amish farmers are busy working in their gardens. In northern areas of the USA, including our farms in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin, using greenhouses or temporary seed-starting setups is essential to give young seeds the best care. They will need transplanting as the season catches up with their growth needs.

Last Fall we set up a few additional greenhouses in Michigan with an idea to start planting spring vegetable seeds much earlier than before. This coming spring, I expect to supply the Amish Farmers stores at the beginning of April and continue to offer spring delicacies for the next few months.

The trip to Michigan 02/26/2019. Our spring vegetables and seedling in progress.

I worked all winter on a big project that is about to be finalized. I want to inform you that the Rolling Meadows store grand opening is just around the corner as well. We completed the interior work already. Currently, I wait for a few kitchen equipment deliveries, and required inspections. The new location will be a spacious store with much more to offer. I am very excited to open the door as soon as possible and do my best to host the Rolling Meadows Store Grand Opening in April. The store address is 2122 Plum Grove Rd, Rolling Meadows IL, 60008.

We also pre-launched AmishFarmers.com website two weeks ago, and work hard on posting all valuable information about our products on that platform. We offer a new ordering service via our online store and plan to take all 2019 Easter orders that way. You will be able to pre-order holiday and limited products online and pick up your order at your closest store location.

Stay in the know and sign up for our newsletter as this will be our new way to communicate with you, provide information and updates about our grand opening, events, promotions, coupons and more.

Thank you for shopping at the Amish Farmers store.

Gratefully, Jacek Cholko.
